The US branch of Toyota Motor Corp said that this recall includes Toyota Camry, Toyota Camry Hybrid, Toyota Highlander and Toyota Highlander Hybrid all manufactured in 2015 and Toyota RAV4 from 2014-2015.
In particular, 2,500 Toyota RAV4 EVs from 2012-2014 were recalled due to a defect in the electronic steering support software, which can cause the gear shift lever to suddenly shift to the 0 (neutral) position, which can easily lead to accidents and endanger the user.
