On the evening of May 10, the 3rd Red Flamboyant Festival - Hai Phong 2014 and the Ceremony to receive the ranking certificate: "Special National Monument of Cat Ba Archipelago Scenic Landscape" were held in Hai Phong City.

With the theme “Hai Phong in the red color of phoenix flowers”, the festival opened with the song “Hai Phong is red with flying phoenix flowers” ​​and then there was a parade of 15 districts in the city with 5 typical models of the city: “Phoenix flowers - Port services - Industry - Agriculture - Tourism”, creating a colorful picture of the people and land of Hai Phong.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the festival, Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee Duong Anh Dien emphasized that in 2012, from the idea of ​​organizing a new cultural and tourism festival named after a beautiful flower associated with the city to promote, build the brand, enhance the position and image of Hai Phong domestically and internationally, the Red Flamboyant Flower Festival was born.

The unique cultural activities of the port city through 2 successful organizations and this is the 3rd time, have been gradually creating the mark of a festival with the essence of Hai Phong, thereby honoring the land and people of Hai Phong; creating excitement, determination, will and belief for the people of the port city to overcome difficulties, excellently complete tasks, successfully implement the Resolution of the 11th National Party Congress, Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress of the city and Conclusion 72 of the Politburo on continuing to implement Resolution 32 of the Politburo on building and developing Hai Phong City in the period of industrialization and modernization.

The 3rd Red Flamboyant Festival - Hai Phong 2014 was held in conjunction with the event of receiving the Certificate of ranking "Special National Monument - Cat Ba Archipelago Scenic Area" and is also a source of encouragement for Hai Phong people towards the goal of building Cat Ba Archipelago into a green tourist destination, an international-class tourist center, worthy of the position, potential and outstanding value of Cat Ba Archipelago.
