The initial cause of the poisoning was determined to be pesticides in the food. At Son Ky General Clinic, most of the patient rooms were full of beds because of the large number of workers leading to overload. Many workers had to share a bed. Some even had to spread mattresses on the floor to be examined by doctors and given IVs.

According to doctors at Son Ky General Clinic, the condition of the patients has stabilized and on the afternoon of July 5, more than half of them were discharged from the hospital. Only patients with poisoning and other medical conditions need to be monitored until stable, then prescribed medication for discharge.

Notably, some pregnant female patients with very poor health conditions are continuing to receive special monitoring./.
