Leaders of Ho Chi Minh City and Quang Ngai province held a naming ceremony for Pham Van Dong Street. |
Accordingly, the name of the late Prime Minister Pham Van Dong was given to the Tan Son Nhat - Binh Loi - Outer Ring Road, which is more than 12 km long. The starting point of the route is at the Nguyen Thai Son intersection, Go Vap district and the end point is at the Linh Xuan intersection, Thu Duc district.
The Tan Son Nhat - Binh Loi beltway project passes through four districts: Tan Binh - Go Vap - Binh Thanh - Thu Duc. This is a vital route that, when completed, will facilitate the connection of the city center with surrounding satellite urban areas and neighboring provinces such as Binh Duong and Dong Nai, while contributing to reducing traffic congestion.
This route is part of the Ho Chi Minh City beltway system with a total length of nearly 14 km running from Tan Son Nhat Airport to Highway 1. The project has a total investment capital of 340 million USD invested by GS Group (Engineering Construction - Korea), started in June 2008, and was invested and built in the form of BT (build - transfer).
