(Baonghean.vn) -On April 15, Vinh City organized a campaign to clear encroachment on corridors and sidewalks, and restore order in traffic safety corridors. According to the plan, the authorities will conduct the campaign synchronously in all 25 wards and communes.
Vinh City People's Committee established 3 interdisciplinary working groups including: Urban Management, Traffic Inspectorate, Police, urban management rules teams of 25 wards and communes to clear violations of corridors and sidewalks on 54 main roads and public places. This is one of the activities to implement Directive 05-CT/Th.U of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee on "Strengthening urban management".
During the implementation process, the working groups handled hundreds of violations, removed many signs, canopies, and tents of businesses that encroached on corridors and sidewalks. After the clearance, they will be handed over to wards and communes for management. However, after large-scale clearances, when the authorities passed by, re-encroachment was common. This issue requires more active participation of the People's Committees of wards and communes in managing corridors and sidewalks, ensuring clear roads, airy sidewalks, and urban civilization.
