Vinh City: Visiting and giving gifts to Border Guard Station 523 (Tuong Duong)

(Baonghean.vn) -On the occasion of the 23rd anniversary of "National Border Guard Day" (March 3, 1989 - March 3, 2012) and the 53rd anniversary of the founding of the Border Guard (March 3, 1959 - March 3, 2012), on March 1 and 2, a delegation of officials from the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh City visited and presented gifts to officers and soldiers of Border Guard Station 523 - a sister unit, stationed in Tuong Duong district.

Here, the delegation attended the commemoration ceremony and exchanged Vietnamese culture with officers and soldiers of Station 523 and the people where the unit was stationed. On behalf of officers and people of Vinh city, comrade Tran Viet Lap - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the City Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee presented officers and soldiers with 30 million VND and encouraged officers and soldiers to overcome difficulties, always be ready and proactive in all situations to protect the sovereignty of the national border.
