Response to the quality of electricity in Thai Son commune

(Baonghean) - Nghe An Newspaper on May 17, 2014, in the Hotline Information section, reported the following: "People in Long Thai village, Thai Son commune with 4 hamlets (3, 4, 5, 6) have over 600 households but currently there is only one low voltage station built in the 90s of the last century. For many years now, people here have had to live in a serious power shortage. Many electrical appliances such as fans and light bulbs cannot be used because the electricity is too weak. We request that local authorities and Do Luong Electricity pay attention and upgrade the power grid to serve the people.

After receiving the newspaper's reflection, the People's Committee of Do Luong district directed Do Luong Electricity and Thai Son Commune People's Committee to inspect and take measures to improve the quality of electricity for people's daily life and production. On June 20, 2014, the People's Committee of Do Luong district issued Official Letter No. 582/UBND reporting the results of the settlement, specifically as follows: Currently, in Thai Son commune, there are 5 transformer stations supplying electricity to people; in hamlets 3, 4, 5 and 6 of Thai Son commune, electricity is currently being used at Transformer Station No. 3 due to the long power supply radius and the increasing daily and production loads among the people, leading to low voltage quality during peak hours.

Faced with this situation, Do Luong Electricity is currently organizing the installation of poles and pulling wires to transfer the load from hamlet 3 and hamlet 4 to use electricity at Transformer Station No. 5, Thai Son Commune to reduce the power supply radius and increase the voltage quality, expected to be completed in June 2014. At the same time, according to the KFW project, there is currently an investment project to prevent overloading of an additional transformer station with a capacity of 180KVA for Thai Son Commune.
