Experience free 3G speed 42Mbps

Viettel Telecom Company has officially opened free 3G experience areas with maximum download speeds of up to 42Mbps at 6 stores in provinces and cities: Hanoi, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho.

Along with the message “Activate your life with 3G”, the program lasts for 4 months (from August 8 to December 8, 2014). Visitors can freely experience and learn about the benefits of 3G services for free, participate in technology games…

Guests come to experience free high-speed 3G on the opening day of the program.

In particular, the free 3G experience supports a maximum data download speed of up to 42Mbps (at the experience area in Can Tho city). With this speed, in ideal conditions, customers can download a song with a capacity of 5MB in 1 second.

Officially operating 3G services since March 2010, Viettel now owns the largest 3G infrastructure in Vietnam with 26,000 broadcasting stations covering the whole country. According to Viettel, in just the first 7 months of this year, the number of subscribers using data on the entire network has increased by nearly 9 million. Currently, Viettel's nationwide network provides customers with the largest possible data download speed of 21Mbps.

Mr. Thieu Phuong Nam - General Director of Qualcomm Vietnam - said that the cooperation between Qualcomm and Viettel in this program is strategic and extensive because both groups share the same vision and goal of bringing technology to more and more people and businesses in Vietnam.
