Provincial Police Detention Center: 33 prisoners were granted amnesty on September 2nd

(Baonghean.vn)- On August 12, Colonel Tran Sy Phang - Warden of the Provincial Police Detention Center said that it is expected that 33 prisoners serving prison sentences at the Provincial Police Detention Center will be pardoned and released from prison ahead of schedule on the occasion of National Day, September 2.

The prisoners who were pardoned and had their sentences reduced during this period were mainly those who violated traffic regulations, intentionally caused injury, human trafficking, illegal trading of explosives, and disturbing public order. In addition, 13 prisoners had their sentences reduced, the maximum being 4 months in prison.

The consideration of amnesty and sentence reduction is carried out in a very serious, strict and correct manner. Currently, Nghe An Provincial Police Detention Center is organizing community reintegration counseling and education, disseminating some laws and basic knowledge to these prisoners before returning to society./.
