The first “Clásico” of the season has been set. The Spanish Football Federation (LFP) has set the match between Barca and Madrid for 20 days from now.

The match will take place at 6pm (local time), or 11pm (Vietnam time) on Saturday (October 26) at Camp Nou. The “Clásico” will be broadcast live by Canal + Liga and GolT.

The announcement was confirmed by the Spanish Football Federation (LFP). The information has cleared up doubts surrounding the timing of the first “Clasico” match of the year.

The match between Barcelona and Real Madrid at Camp Nou is also the first “Clásico” in the careers of Gerardo Martino and Carlo Ancelotti. This is also the first time these two veteran strategists have had the opportunity to face each other in La Liga.

Currently, two big stars of Barca and Real, Neymar and Gareth Bale, are struggling to recover from injuries before the match takes place.

Barcelona currently have 24 points after 8 wins, equal to Atletico Madrid. Real Madrid have only 19 points, 5 points behind the leader. The result of the match at Camp Nou therefore cannot affect the standings. But a “Clásico” always means more than just 3 points.

Barca and Real both have opponents to beat before October 8. The Catalans also have to travel to Osasuna while Madrid have to host Malaga at home.
