(Baonghean) - The vote of confidence for 47 positions elected and approved by the National Assembly on June 10 and the public announcement of the vote of confidence results to the entire population on June 11, although this is the first time in the history of the National Assembly's activities that this work has been carried out, it can be affirmed that the results of the vote of confidence have basically met the trust and expectations of voters.

The results of the vote of confidence also show that the National Assembly deputies this term have worked seriously with their votes, thus erasing previous doubts and concerns that when taking a vote of confidence, deputies are easily distracted by the word "love", or that deputies do it in a formal, perfunctory manner, doing it for the sake of "rolling it up and smashing it flat" to please each other...

It is easy to feel that voters are very excited about the expanding democratic atmosphere in the National Assembly, excited because they feel the increasing sense of responsibility of National Assembly deputies in carrying out their elected responsibilities in response to the requirements, tasks, and also the serious demands of voters and the country, in expressing their trust in the positions elected and approved by the National Assembly.

The results show that the ratio of trust levels is differentiated with certain gaps: the person with the highest “high trust” rate is 74.7%, while the person with the lowest “high trust” rate is 16.67%; the person with the highest “trust” rate is 61.04%, while the person with the lowest “trust” rate is 20.88%; the person with the lowest “low trust” rate is 1.2%, while the person with the highest “low trust” rate is 41.97%. This is a result far different from the usual voting and ranking results with rates that are always very “beautiful”: 100%, nearly 100%, or at least above 90%.

It is also necessary to affirm that the results of the vote of confidence cannot reflect completely accurately and completely, nor can it be said that the percentage for each type of vote is consistent and corresponds to the substance, capacity, performance efficiency and prestige of the positions. However, that does not mean that the specific results with different levels and percentages, different distances for each level of high trust, trust and low trust... do not say anything. With the capacity, qualifications, qualities, qualifications and working methods of National Assembly deputies being increasingly innovated, improved, becoming more and more professional; with the information system and support sources, providing information increasingly faster, more timely, richer and more comprehensive... we are confident that National Assembly deputies have the basis to reflect, perceive, evaluate and express their attitudes objectively and honestly. Voters and the majority of people believe that these are numbers... that speak.

From the remarkable results in the vote of confidence for positions elected and approved by the National Assembly, voters continue to expect the sense of responsibility and courage of elected representatives in the upcoming vote of confidence for positions elected and approved by People's Councils at all levels. More than ever, voters hope that People's Council representatives at all levels are truly aware of their representative status, worthy of the duties and powers of a council representative as stipulated in the Law on Organization of People's Councils and People's Committees. Voters expect council representatives to uphold their sense of responsibility in their vote of confidence, which is also a demonstration of their responsibility to voters in the unit that elected them.

To do so, each council delegate is responsible for collecting information about the positions, objectively and honestly assessing the capacity and prestige of the positions in promoting their roles and responsibilities to implement the goals, targets and content of the work undertaken, approved by the People's Council. Council delegates need to be deeply aware that the vote of confidence in the hands of the delegate must truly and honestly reflect the opinions, wishes and demands of the voters; the vote will be effective if it most honestly reflects the capacity, responsibility and prestige of the positions elected and approved by the People's Council.

If the People's Council delegates respect the vote and use the vote of confidence to reflect honestly and objectively, the vote results will play an important role in creating motivation and efforts for positions with high prestige, while at the same time "stirring up" and creating pressure for positions that do not have high confidence. Only then will the vote of confidence results truly be an important "channel" to evaluate and screen officials elected and approved by the People's Council.

From the results of the vote, through organization or self-awareness, self-adjustment, and efforts, each position must strive to fulfill its assigned functions and tasks with the best sense of responsibility, which also means fulfilling its obligation to serve the people, serving the people with high capacity, ability, and responsibility. If that is not met, it must accept elimination and screening, to ensure that there are no individuals in the apparatus who do not ensure the capacity and sense of responsibility to serve the people. Therefore, delegates who respect their votes also respect the voters who elected them, respect the people!
