The first dairy farm in Southeast Asia meets international standards

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 18, at the Vinamilk dairy farm in Nghia Dan district, the Global GAP ControlUnion organization awarded the certificate of meeting the international standards of Global Good Agricultural Practices (Global GAP) to Vinamilk's farm. Attending the ceremony were Mr. Cas Vander Horst - Deputy Ambassador of the Netherlands to Vietnam, Mr. Le Quoc Doanh - Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, and Ms. Dinh Thi Le Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee - Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee, as well as representatives of central and local ministries, branches.

Global GAP ControlUnion has awarded the Global GAP International Standard Certificate to Vinamilk Farm.

Ms. Dinh Thi Le Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee - Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded a certificate of merit to Vinamilk for its many charitable and humanitarian activities in Nghe An.

Vinamilk's "Vietnam Rising" milk fund gives nearly 71,550 glasses of milk to poor children in Nghe An.

Global GAP is a farm management tool to meet domestic and international market demands for product quality, food safety products, improve product quality and value, thereby effectively and sustainably using agricultural production resources, contributing to enriching farmers and developing rural areas, protecting the environment and the general landscape. Nghe An farm of Vietnam Dairy Cow Company (under Vinamilk) started implementing Global GAP standards from September 2013. After 8 months of implementation, Nghe An farm was assessed and certified by this organization. The company is continuing to assess Global GAP standards for all remaining Vinamilk farms nationwide. Previously, Vinamilk's system of 5 farms had all achieved the ISO 9001:2008 quality management system issued by Bureau Veritas Certification Organization (France).

Vinamilk farm in Nghe An is the first farm in Southeast Asia to be certified by Global GAP and is one of three farms meeting the international standards of GlobalG.AP in Asia. Achieving the international certification of Global GAP will help Vinamilk increasingly gain the trust of customers; enhance its reputation and competitiveness in the market; raise Vinamilk's position in the market; meet the requirements of customers in demanding markets such as Europe and the US; be an advantage in signing contracts and bidding; be an official announcement of the commitment to ensure quality safety and continuous improvement to be ready to meet the increasing needs of customers; use agricultural production resources effectively and sustainably; meet the regulations of the State and countries where it plans to sell in the present and the future on quality management.
