(Baonghean.vn) - Nguyen Thi Kinh (born in 1990) planted banana trees encroaching on the land of Nguyen Van Thuong's house (born in 1976, Kinh's neighbor, in Nghi Yen commune - Nghi Loc), and was opposed by Mr. Thuong. When Mr. Thuong bent down to cut the banana tree, Kinh stood behind him and hit him in the head with a shovel. The hit was so strong that Mr. Thuong fell down. Kinh continued to hit Mr. Thuong in the chest with the shovel, causing the victim to lose consciousness. As a result, Mr. Thuong had to be hospitalized in critical condition.

After being transferred from Viet Duc Hospital in Hanoi to Nghe An General Hospital, Mr. Thuong is still in critical condition. Currently, the victim is paralyzed in both legs. According to medical record number 2653/KHTH of Viet Duc Hospital in Hanoi, tests showed that the patient had right hemiplegia, traumatic brain injury, temporal lobe cerebral hemorrhage, epidural hematoma in the temporal region, and a piece of skull bone embedded in the brain.
The above incident occurred on September 23, 2014. Nghi Loc district police are currently waiting for the expert's conclusion to decide to prosecute the case.
