Avoiding pedestrians, Range Rover 'flew' down to the river's edge

(Baonghean.vn) - While avoiding a pedestrian, the Range Rover suddenly lost control, crashed into a milestone, then "flew" over the iron railing of National Highway 1A, and fell onto the riverbank.

The accident occurred at around 4:30 p.m. on National Highway 1A, passing through Dien Ngoc commune, Dien Chau district, Nghe An.

The Range Rover with license plate 30E - 532... was traveling on National Highway 1A in the direction of Hanoi - Vinh City. When arriving at the above location, the man driving the car lost control and crashed into a milestone on the side of the road to avoid a passerby.

The car continued to "fly" over the iron railing of Highway 1A and only stopped when it crashed into a row of ancient trees next to the Bung River and flipped over, luckily not falling into the river nearby.

At the time of the accident, there were two people in the car. The airbags deployed so the old man in the car and the driver were not injured.

The accident caused traffic chaos at the location as hundreds of curious people came to watch. Upon receiving the information, the Traffic Police of Dien Chau District Police and the Traffic Police Station 5-1 arrived at the scene to regulate traffic and handle the incident.
