(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of September 5, the Department of Home Affairs of Nghe An province coordinated with the Buddhist charity group Nguyen Quang to organize the program "Lighting up dreams - Supporting students to go to school" and presented 221 gifts to students at Tien Phong II Primary School (Que Phong, Nghe An).

Here, the delegation presented 200 gifts including uniforms and personal items, each worth 200,000 VND, and 20 scholarships to 20 poor students with good academic performance, each worth 300,000 VND. This is the amount of money that the Nguyen Quang Buddhist Charity Group, Nghe An Department of Home Affairs mobilized from agencies, businesses, philanthropists, members of the Nguyen Quang Charity Group and officials and civil servants of the Department of Home Affairs to contribute, to encourage and support the children to go to school, thereby hoping that they will continue to strive to excel in their studies.

On this occasion, the charity group, along with the doctors and nurses in the group, coordinated with the school to organize communication for students and teachers about the following contents: washing hands with soap properly and regularly washing hands before eating and after going to the toilet, and proper methods of oral care and hygiene.

At the gift-giving ceremony, the leaders of the district Party Committee and the district People's Committee, and social organizations of Tien Phong commune also presented gifts to the school and students. Teachers and students expressed their gratitude for the charity group's best feelings for the teachers and students of the school, and at the same time expressed their determination to strive to achieve even higher results in teaching and learning.

Previously, on the afternoon of September 4, the Office of the Department of Home Affairs coordinated with the People's Committee of Tien Phong commune to directly visit 4 policy households in Tien Phong commune to hand over 4 savings books, each worth 5 million VND, the above amount was contributed by officers and civil servants of the Department of Home Affairs with one day's salary.
