Giving 60 breeding cows to poor households in border commune

(Baonghean.vn) - October 20,Tuong Duong District Department of Agriculture in coordination withTam Quang Border Guard Station (Nghe An Border Guard) handed over 60 breeding cows, worth 900 million VND, to 60 poor households in Tam Quang commune.

Accordingly, mEach poor household in the commune that has the conditions and ability to raise livestock will be supported with a breeding cow worth 15 million VND from the 30A Program. The quality of the breeding cows is carefully selected, with the ability to adapt to the local climate and grassland conditions as well as the livestock raising habits of the people.

Up to now, through the implementation of Program 30A, Program 135, New Rural Construction Program and the model of the Department of Rural Development of Nghe An province, a total of 153 breeding cows and 10 breeding goats have been handed over to support poor households in the border commune of Tam Quang.
