Presenting 60 gifts to poor households in Que Phong commune

(Baonghean.vn) - On the occasion of the Lunar New Year, on the morning of January 13, Trung Do Joint Stock Company (Vinh City) went to Dong Moi village, Dong Van commune (Que Phong) to give gifts to poor households with special difficulties in the area.

Accompanying the delegation were representatives of the Fatherland Front Committee of Que Phong district and representatives of the People's Committee of Dong Van commune.

Mr. Cao Son Dau - Deputy Director of Trung Do Joint Stock Company presented gifts to extremely poor households in Dong Van commune.

The total value of gifts is over 54 million VND, including 60 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND, given to poor households in Dong Van commune and 3 sets of computers worth 24 million VND given to Que Phong district.

Dong Van commune is about 26 km west of Que Phong district center. The whole commune has 726 households, of which 98% are Thai people. The commune has 10 villages, the poverty rate is 36.63%.

The delegation took souvenir photos and wished the poor people of Dong Van a happy and safe Tet.

Speaking at the gift giving and receiving ceremony, representatives of Trung Do Joint Stock Company and the district Fatherland Front Committee congratulated the poor households in particular and Dong Van commune in general on a safe and happy Lunar New Year. The delegation wanted to contribute to sharing some of the difficulties with the people; at the same time, hoping that the people would continue to improve their lives.

In addition to gifts for poor households, on this occasion, Trung Do Joint Stock Company also donated 3 sets of computers to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of 3 poor communes: Dong Van, Chau Kim and Tien Phong.

As a company specializing in the production and trading of construction materials, each year, Trung Do Joint Stock Company spends 200 - 250 million VND on social activities and charity work. This is the 5th year the Company has accompanied and helped the poor commune of Dong Van, Que Phong./.
