Giving breeding cows to poor households in Quy Chau district
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of November 19, the Provincial Red Cross Association coordinated with Tay Do Group and Gia Hung Joint Stock Company to present 6 breeding cows (worth 60 million VND) to 6 poor households in Chau Phong and Chau Hanh communes, mountainous district of Quy Chau.
This is a cow donation program from the program "Cow Bank - joining hands with people in poor districts and border communes to build new rural areas" under the "Cow Bank" project launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society. The funding source for the cow donation in Quy Chau comes from the support of Tay Do Group and Gia Hung Joint Stock Company.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Phung Vinh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Red Cross Society, hoped that the cows given to the people would continue to multiply, and requested the authorities of Chau Phong and Chau Hanh communes to train and guide the people on techniques of raising and caring for breeding animals; techniques of building barns; and disseminate information about common diseases in the process of raising cows.
On behalf of the local government, Mr. Sam Van Thiet, Chairman of Chau Hanh Commune People's Committee, thanked the benefactors for sponsoring breeding cows for the local poor and promised to direct and help households take good care of the cows so that they can reproduce, increase family income, and eliminate hunger and reduce poverty.
