(Baonghean.vn)-On April 8, 2015, the Provincial People's Committee held an award ceremony for the 2014 Traffic Safety Journalism Contest in Nghe An Province.

Attending the award ceremony were comrades: Nguyen Xuan Son - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Le Ba Hung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Huynh Thanh Dien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Hong Ky - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Transport and representatives of departments, branches, and sectors at the provincial level.

Award-winning author groups

Nearly 100 entries participated in the 2014 Nghe An Province Traffic Safety Journalism Contest in various categories including print, electronic, visual, audio, photo reportage, and video clips. The organizing committee selected 38 entries for the final round.

The entries have reflected and informed relatively fully about traffic safety issues in our province, with special attention paid to some highlights such as: site clearance for the construction of National Highway 1A, information on preventing and handling oversized and overloaded vehicles, improving the quality of rural and mountainous traffic infrastructure, and promoting the operation of the Vinh - Vientiane flight route...

The organizing committee voted to award 21 prizes (1 first prize, 5 second prizes, 8 third prizes and 7 consolation prizes). Of which, Nghe An Newspaper won 1 first prize with the 5-part essay "Around the National Highway 1A site clearance work" and 3 second prizes. The total prize money is 125 million VND. At the award ceremony, the Department of Transport also awarded prizes to the works that won the first and second prizes.

At the award ceremony, the Organizing Committee launched the 2015 Traffic Safety Journalism Contest in Nghe An province.
