Award ceremony of poetry, short story, and essay contest - Muong Xung Magazine 2011
(Baonghean) -On the morning of November 13, 2011, Tuong Duong Literature and Arts Club held a conference to summarize the work of 2011 and award prizes for the 2011 Muong Xung Magazine Poetry, Short Story, and Essay Contest.
Established in 2009 with 25 initial members working in the following majors: Literature, Poetry, Folklore & School Literature, Fine Arts, Photography and Performing Arts with a member club, the Phong Village Folk Song and Dance Club, up to now, after three years of operation, the Club has 29 members. With the attention of Party committees and authorities at all levels, with the efforts of its members, the Tuong Duong District Literature and Arts Club has had outstanding achievements, bringing many positive effects to the lives of ethnic minorities in the district.
Awarding prizes to the winning authors of the contest at the closing conference
After its establishment, the Club launched Muong Xung Magazine - a gathering place for member writers and also a place to exchange with artists inside and outside the province. The magazine is beautifully printed, with rich articles closely following the local political tasks, and is published twice a year. In October 2010, the Club coordinated with Muong Xung Magazine to launch a competition for writing poems, short stories, and memoirs with the theme "Welcoming Party congresses at all levels towards the 11th National Party Congress". The competition received positive responses from writers in the area. At the closing conference, Comrade Vi Tan Hoi - Chairman of the Club awarded prizes to the winning authors and officially launched a competition for writing literature and art with the theme "Tuong Duong People and Today's Life", expected to end and award prizes in October 2013.
On this occasion, the Club announced the Decision to admit 13 new members, writers from inside and outside the district, to join the Tuong Duong Literature and Arts Club.
