Awarding ceremony of the contest to learn about national culture and history "Pride of Vietnam"

On the morning of January 13, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union coordinated with the Ministry of Education and Training to organize the national final, summarize and award the prizes of the "Pride of Vietnam" contest to learn about national culture and history.

The contest was held from November 8, 2015 to January 13, 2016, attracting more than 310,000 students from 2,621 high schools and continuing education schools nationwide. The contest aims to create a healthy and useful playground for union members and students, arouse the spirit of passion for learning and researching history and national culture; foster patriotism, national pride, and promote the responsibility of Vietnamese youth in studying, training, establishing themselves, starting a career, building and defending the country.

The Organizing Committee assessed that 477 video clips introduced landmarks, relics, famous people, cultural and artistic forms, local customs, historical lessons about the process of building and defending the country of the Vietnamese people, historical events and periods of the nation, showing that students in particular and Vietnamese youth in general always pay attention, love and passion for research on national culture and history.

The Organizing Committee awarded 1 first prize, 1 second prize, 1 third prize for the individual and video clip competitions. Speaking at the award ceremony, Mr. Le Quoc Phong, Secretary of the Central Youth Union, Chairman of the Vietnam Student Association, said that with a methodical and modern organization, the competition has succeeded in creating a unique, modern and open playground, where students can learn, experience and demonstrate their understanding and pride in the history and culture of the nation, demonstrating the good values ​​of 66 years of tradition of Vietnamese students.
