Awarding ceremony of the contest "Learning about the life and career of King Mai and the Hoan Chau uprising"
(Baonghean.vn) -This morning, February 22, in Nam Dan, the People's Committee of Nam Dan district and the Provincial Youth Union organized the summary and award ceremony of the contest "Learning about the life and career of King Mai and the Hoan Chau uprising".
Towards the 1,300th anniversary of the Hoan Chau uprising, the 1,290th anniversary of Mai Hac De's death and the 2013 King Mai Festival, on January 23, the Provincial Youth Union - Nam Dan District People's Committee launched a contest to educate the younger generation about the spirit of fighting for national liberation, remembering the merits of Mai Hac De, Mai Thieu De and the family members of King Mai.
The contest was in the form of an essay, widely publicized, the contest content was included in the activities of the Youth Union branches and associations and became a widespread political activity in the Youth Union chapters and members of the whole province.
Awarding prizes to winning groups and individuals
After 5 weeks of implementation, the Organizing Committee received nearly 15,000 entries. The contest has had a strong influence in society, besides the youth force, there is also the participation of the Farmers' Association, Women's Association, Veterans' Association... Many teenagers participated and won prizes such as: Nguyen Dieu Thuy (Class 6A, Dang Chanh Ky Secondary School, Nam Dan District) won third prize; Tran Thi Ngoan (Dien Ngoc Secondary School, Dien Chau District) won an encouragement prize.
The Organizing Committee awarded the First Prize to Phan Thi Quy - Kim Lien Relic Site; Second Prize to Ngo Quang Hung - Secretary of the Party Committee of Nam Dan Town, Nam Dan District; Nguyen Thi Bao Anh, class 6A, Dang Chanh Ky Secondary School - Nam Dan.
