Award ceremony of the World Office Informatics Competition in Vietnam
The contest selected the three best Vietnamese faces to attend the world finals in Washington, USA.
On the morning of June 11, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Organizing Committee of the World Office Informatics Championship honored and awarded the teams and announced the 3 outstanding contestants who will participate in the world final round in the US.
The Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship 2013 held in Vietnam attracted the participation of more than 1,000 candidates from 128 universities, colleges, vocational schools and high schools nationwide.
The contest has selected the 3 best Vietnamese faces to attend the world final round in Washington, USA. They are Phan Tien Dung - student of Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City, Bui Huu Hong Hai - student of Foreign Languages and Information Technology University of Ho Chi Minh City, Ho Tran Hieu Trung - student of University of Economics of Ho Chi Minh City.
This year, for the first time, a contestant at the middle school level won third prize in the national final round, that is Le Anh, a student at Asia International School.
The world finals took place in August 2013, with the participation of 500 contestants from 87 countries. Ho Tran Hieu Trung, a student at the University of Economics, Ho Chi Minh City, one of three outstanding Vietnamese candidates selected to compete this time, emotionally said: “I was very surprised, because in the qualifying rounds, this is a score I have never achieved and I did not think I would achieve it. But perhaps due to luck and courage, I won the championship this year”./.
