Awarding ceremony of the writing contest "Overcoming fate"
(Baonghean.vn) -Recently, in Hanoi, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Thanh Nien Magazine, the Association for the Protection of the Disabled and Orphans of Vietnam and sponsors held a closing ceremony and awarded prizes for the 4th "Overcoming Fate" writing contest.
According to the Organizing Committee of the contest, after 12 months of launching nationwide, the contest has received 5,319 entries from authors from all over the country. The localities with the most entries are Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang and the provinces of Cao Bang, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An. Among the participating works, nearly 30% of the articles are written by disabled people, orphans about themselves or their peers, depicting examples of disabled people overcoming their fate, studying, getting rich, and living independently without relying on others.

The Organizing Committee awarded 1 collective prize, 1 special prize, 1 A prize, 2 B prizes, 2 C prizes, 10 consolation prizes with Certificates and Contest Logos. At this contest, Nghe An province was honored to win the prize with the work "Orphaned parents, 3 sisters study well and succeed" by reporter Trinh Xuan Thong (Nghe An Police Newspaper).
The contest aims to honor role models, children and disabled people, people with especially difficult circumstances, with strong determination and will to overcome fate to assert themselves, become useful people for life, for society, contributing to the development of the homeland and the country. At the same time, this is also an activity to introduce typical examples of overcoming difficulties in the community for everyone, especially the young generation today to learn and follow. Through the contest, it shows the concern of society for disabled people, people with difficult fates in all aspects so that they can truly be "disabled but not useless", becoming useful people for society.
