Awarding ceremony of the 2023 Nghe An Province Online Book Promotion Contest
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of December 23, the Provincial People's Committee held the Closing Ceremony and awarded prizes for the 2023 Nghe An Province Online Book Promotion and Introduction Contest.
Attending the ceremony were representatives of leaders of departments, agencies, localities and schools with students winning prizes.
On September 22, 2023, Nghe An Provincial People's Committee issued Plan No. 708/KH-UBND on organizing the Nghe An Province Online Book Promotion and Introduction Contest in 2023.
This is a practical activity to promote, popularize and introduce popular books about the beauty of Vietnam's land and people.
Through the contest, affirm the position, role, and good values of reading culture in improving the capacity of Vietnamese people to access information and knowledge, contributing to improving people's knowledge, developing thinking, creativity, nurturing personality and soul, enhancing awareness of law compliance, forming a healthy lifestyle for the young generation, and promoting the building of a lifelong learning society.
The contest participants are primary and secondary school students from schools in Nghe An province.
Within 1 month (from October 1 to 30, 2023), with the determination of the Department of Education and Training of districts, cities, towns and the principals of schools in the province, along with the active response of students, the Organizing Committee received 538 entries to the contest.
Through the preliminary round 1, 75 entries out of a total of 538 entered the second round. 18 entries were selected by the Jury to be posted on the Fanpage of Nghe An Provincial Library for voting.
At the closing ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded Certificates of Merit from the Provincial People's Committee Chairman and cash prizes to 2 groups winning First and Second prizes and 3 individuals winning First prizes; awarded certificates to 3 Second prizes, 6 Third prizes and 22 thematic prizes of the contest.
