(Baonghean.vn) - Within the framework of programs to celebrate the 125th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2015), welcoming the 2015 National Lotus Village Festival, on the afternoon of May 15, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the People's Committee of Nghe An province to organize the opening ceremony and award ceremony of the National Fine Arts and Photography Exhibition with the theme "Studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh".
Attending the ceremony, on the Central side were Mr. Huynh Vinh Ai - Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Mr. Vi Kien Thanh - Director of the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition; Mr. Phung Quang Hien - Chief of Office of the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition. On the Nghe An province side, there were Ms. Dinh Thi Le Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Le Ba Hung - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Mr. Ho Mau Thanh - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; many artists inside and outside the province and people of the province.

The exhibition introduces to the public 125 newly created works of art and photography, selected from 1,405 works submitted by authors nationwide. Of these, there are 61 works of art in various genres and materials such as oil, lacquer, silk, mixed media, propaganda paintings, reliefs and 64 photography works.
After the opening ceremony was the award ceremony. Accordingly, in the Fine Arts category, the first prize went to author Le Thi Kim Bach (HCMC) with the work "Uncle Ho", the mosaic painting genre; 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes, and 5 consolation prizes were awarded. In the Photography category, the first prize went to author Doan Thi Tho (HCMC) with the photo series "Soldiers take children to school during the flood season"; 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes, and 5 consolation prizes were awarded.

All the works on display have high aesthetic and momentous values, conveying the message of encouragement and learning from bright examples in society, bringing many deep emotions to the audience.
