Awarding scholarships to children of policy families

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 2, representatives of the People's Army Newspaper residing in Nghe An, the Vietnam Education Promotion Fund in coordination with the Department of Culture and Sports of Nghe An province organized a scholarship awarding ceremony from the "Back to Truong Son 2017" Cycling Race for students who are children of war invalids, sick soldiers, and families with preferential policies at the Nghe An Provincial Sports Gifted High School.

The "Back to Truong Son" cycling race, People's Army Newspaper Cup, is organized annually by the People's Army Newspaper in coordination with the General Department of Sports and Physical Training, the Vietnam Cycling and Motor Sports Federation and the Viettel Military Telecommunications Group to celebrate major national holidays, along with meaningful gratitude programs for families with meritorious services to the revolution in all provinces where racing teams are organized.

This is the second time Nghe An province has coordinated to organize the race and present gifts of the 2017 "Back to Truong Son" bicycle race. Accordingly, 12 students received scholarships, each worth 2,000,000 VND.
