Awarding Ho Chi Minh Medal to 2 former Deputy Prime Ministers
This afternoon (September 29), the Government held a ceremony to award the Ho Chi Minh Medal to comrade Truong Vinh Trong, former member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister and comrade Pham Gia Khiem, former member of the Politburo, Deputy Prime Minister.

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung; President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan; Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan; Deputy Prime Ministers and members of the Government attended the ceremony.
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung congratulated comrade Truong Vinh Trong and comrade Pham Gia Khiem on receiving the noble awards from the Party, State and people; affirming that this is a recognition and evaluation of the two comrades' great contributions to the glorious revolutionary cause of our Party and nation.
On behalf of the Government, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung highly appreciated and expressed his gratitude to the two comrades for their great contributions to the Government's leadership and management during their time working in the Government; and hoped that the comrades would continue to make enthusiastic contributions to the Government's activities, as well as the general leadership of the Party and State.
“The Government promises to promote good traditions, make every effort to overcome limitations and weaknesses in management and administration, strive to fulfill well the functions and tasks assigned by the Party and State, and contribute together with the entire Party, army and people to successfully carry out the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country, for the goal of a rich people, a strong country, democracy, fairness and civilization,” Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung expressed.
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung wished comrade Truong Vinh Trong, comrade Pham Gia Khiem and their families good health, happiness and good things in life.

Comrade Pham Gia Khiem expressed his emotions and gratitude for the sentiments of the Party and State leaders; he said that receiving the Ho Chi Minh Medal for himself and comrade Truong Vinh Trong was a great honor for himself and his family; it was the recognition of the Party and State for the contributions of the comrades to the glorious revolutionary cause of our Party and nation.
Comrade Pham Gia Khiem wished the Government to continue promoting tradition, solidarity, democracy, and well fulfill the responsibilities assigned by the Party, State and people.

Comrade Pham Gia KhiemBorn on August 6, 1944, in Hanoi; Member of the Party Central Committee (from the 8th to the 10th term); Member of the Politburo (10th term); Deputy Prime Minister (from October 1997 to July 2011); National Assembly delegate of the 10th, 11th and 12th terms. He was awarded by the Party and the State: First Class Labor Medal, and many other Medals and Certificates of Merit; 30-year Party membership badge. |
