The trend “Be like Bill” or in Vietnam “Be like me” is currently flooding Facebook. However, this could be a security risk to your computer.

The “Be like Bill” trend is currently flooding everyone’s Newsfeed. You can read a lot of sentences like “Bill is so smart. Be like Bill”. This application helps your Facebook friends have a laugh from the automatically generated results, but it can be a security risk to your computer.

This is a “clickbait” (articles that pique your curiosity to make you click), if you have never read the terms and conditions of this website founder, you will definitely be shocked when you read it.

According to KFVS-TV in Missouri, USA, the founder of this application, Blobla, said in its terms and conditions that the company will not collect any data from users' Facebook accounts when you share content from this site.

However, in the privacy policy section, this company states: "You will allow us to use, edit your content with our service permanently, without restriction and irreversible".

KFVS-Tv also said that in some cases, the content may contain viruses that can harm your computer, use your Facebook profile in ways you don't know, or even attempt to steal your credit card or bank card numbers.

If you've shared a post or think you're in danger, here's what the Better Business Bureau recommends:

“Stay away from ads that claim to be ‘shocking’ or ‘sensitive’ or ‘exclusive’ videos or images. If it sounds too good to be true, it’s probably a scam.”

“Check links carefully before clicking. Don't click on links to unfamiliar websites.”

The Vietnamese version of Be Like Bill application is popular in Vietnam and comes from many sources such as Vonvon.me or Appnhe.com. You should carefully read the terms and conditions of these sites before clicking on the application.
