Giving gifts to families of martyrs who died in Truong Sa

Towards the 65th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, on June 2, in Da Nang city, the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group coordinated with Thanh Nien Newspaper and the People's Committee of Hai Chau District (Da Nang) to organize a meeting with the families of martyrs who died while on duty at Gac Ma Island (Truong Sa) in 1988.

Towards the 65th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, on June 2, in Da Nang city, the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group coordinated with Thanh Nien Newspaper and the People's Committee of Hai Chau District (Da Nang) to organize a meeting with the families of martyrs who died while on duty at Gac Ma Island (Truong Sa) in 1988.

At the ceremony, the organizing committee presented 10 gifts, each worth 10 million VND, to 10 families of martyrs currently living in Da Nang city and Quang Nam province. In order to show gratitude to the martyrs who sacrificed for the Fatherland, the organization contributed to supporting and encouraging the martyrs' families.


Phase 2 of the Gac Ma Island Martyrs Gratitude Program sponsored by the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group Veterans Association with an amount of 640 million VND will continue to directly give support money to all relatives of martyrs across the country.


Previously, the first Gac Ma Island Martyrs Gratitude Program also presented more than 1 billion VND to 64 martyrs' families sponsored by the Vietnam Rubber Industry Group, the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV), the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank) and representatives of the Sponsoring Board of the Vietnam Young Physicians Association./.
