Donating charity houses to 2 poor households

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of September 29, the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development of Quynh Luu district held a ceremony to present gratitude houses to poor household Ho Thi Nghiem, hamlet 1, Quynh Van commune and Mr. Dang Van Ty, Tan Tien village, Tan Thang commune.

Ms. Ho Thi Nghiem in Hamlet 1, Quynh Van Commune is 79 years old this year and lives alone in a house built decades ago that is now seriously degraded.

Due to her poor health, her son missing for nearly 30 years, and her four daughters married far away, she depends largely on her neighbors for her living expenses.

As for Mr. Ngan Dang Ty's family in Tan Tien village, Tan Thang commune, they are among the most poor in the commune. The family of four lives in a makeshift house of only 15m2.²Mr. Ty himself is constantly sick, his income depends entirely on pure agriculture, and his children are of school age so he has no conditions to rebuild his house.

Faced with such circumstances, the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development of Quynh Luu district supported Ms. Nghiem and Mr. Ty's family with 30 million VND each to help with labor and materials to build new houses for poor households.

This is the amount of money that bank staff and employees donated from their daily salary. It is known that Quynh Van commune supported all the wood in the process of building a house for Ms. Nghiem.

The completed houses put into use have helped households reduce difficulties, stabilize their lives, develop the economy, and reduce poverty.

On this occasion, the Quynh Van Fatherland Front Committee allocated 4 million VND from the commune's fund for the poor to support Ms. Nghiem in buying necessary items for daily life./.
