Children are slow to develop because of using tablets
On December 26, Russian scientists confirmed that there is a link between children's frequent use of tablets and behavioral problems and delayed social development. This phenomenon is especially evident in children over 8 years old.

However, scientists do not deny the positive factors that tablet use brings: Supporting the development of brain regions and helping children calm down. However, researchers emphasize that parents should strictly limit the time children use tablets and ensure that their children have enough time to sleep, read books and interact with adults.
“If kids are constantly using iPads and not really doing the paper and pencil work that they should be doing at their age, they’re going to have weaker hand and finger muscles. That’s what we’re seeing in a lot of kids with developmental delays, reduced muscle strength in those areas,” said Lindsay Marzoli of the Learning and Therapy Corner in Maryland, which was not involved in the study. Marzoli said that using touchscreens doesn’t help kids develop the same muscle strength that they would with a pen.
New guidelines from the American Academy of Pediatrics recommend that children use touchscreens for no more than two hours a day. They also say that children under 2 should not be exposed to touchscreens.
