Dan Lai children enjoy the "Moon of Love" festival
(Baonghean.vn)- On the night of September 26 (August 14 of the lunar calendar), for the first time, children in the Dan Lai resettlement area in Thach Ngan commune, Con Cuong district enjoyed a Mid-Autumn Festival with the theme "Moon of Love" organized by journalists from the Nghe An Press Alliance Club and philanthropists.
Thach Ngan commune, Con Cuong district is home to 4 ethnic groups including: Thai, Dan Lai, Hoa, Kinh... In which, Thach Son village is the resettlement place of Dan Lai ethnic people from Mon Son commune with 50 households, 320 people. The divided terrain and difficult life have made it so that the children in Thach Son have never had the chance to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival, carry star lanterns, and have fun partying...

This year's Mid-Autumn Festival, the Nghe An Press Alliance Club organized the "Moon of Love" full moon festival in Thach Son village with the hope of helping Dan Lai children have a warm and loving Mid-Autumn Festival.

Besides the joy of breaking the cake and carrying lanterns, the excellent students in Thach Son were also awarded 60 scholarships, each worth 500,000 VND by the Nghe An Press Alliance Club; 50 other disadvantaged children received gifts from benefactors.

On this occasion, the Nghe An Press Alliance Club presented 500 gifts to students in disadvantaged retail locations in Thach Ngan commune; BIDV Bank, Nghe An branch, donated 10 million VND to poor children in the commune. The entire "Moon of Love" program for Dan Lai children was 150 million VND, supported by individuals in the Nghe An Press Alliance Club, TH Milk Group, BIDV Bank, Nafoods Group Joint Stock Company and other individuals and units.

This is the second time that reporters and journalists residing in Uncle Ho's homeland have brought the Mid-Autumn Festival to poor children. Last year, the Mid-Autumn Festival was held for Mong ethnic children in Que Phong district.
