Implementing tourism stimulus program
(Baonghean.vn) -On the afternoon of April 24, in Vinh City, the Provincial Tourism Development Steering Committee held a conference to deploy tourism development tasks in 2013. Attending the conference were representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and related departments and agencies.
In 2012, Nghe An tourism achieved positive results, welcoming and serving over 3.08 million overnight guests, including over 98,000 international guests, with total tourism service revenue reaching 1,572 billion VND, of which international visitor revenue reached 17 million USD. Infrastructure continued to grow, with total investment capital increasing by over 475 billion VND compared to 2011.
Conference scene
To overcome difficulties and challenges in 2013, the Provincial Tourism Development Steering Committee focused on implementing the Action Program to implement Resolution 05-NQ/TU of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on Nghe An tourism development in the period 2011-2020 and the Nghe An tourism development program in the period 2011-2015, gradually developing tourism in depth with many attractive tourism products, diverse and quality services. Strive and exceed the 2013 plan targets: total number of visitors with accommodation reaching 3,300,000, total tourism service revenue reaching 1,900 billion VND.
On this occasion, the Steering Committee also deployed a plan to respond to the Tourism Stimulus Program associated with promoting the development of service industries in 2013 issued by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Accordingly, Nghe An's tourism stimulus program will take place in 2 phases: phase 1 from May to August and phase 2 from September to December 2013./.
