Deploying the project to control population in coastal and marine areas

On the morning of April 14, in Dien Thanh commune (Dien Chau), Nghe An Department of Health coordinated with the provincial Population Department to organize a meeting to deploy the implementation of the project to control population in coastal and marine areas in 2011.

This year is the third year that the Project on population control in coastal and coastal areas continues to be implemented in 39 communes in 5 districts, cities and towns including Vinh City, Cua Lo, Nghi Loc, Dien Chau and Quynh Luu. With the goal of promoting communication activities to change behavior, in 2011, strive to have about 72% of couples of childbearing age in coastal communes and wards practice modern contraceptive methods, more than 80% of the coastal population have access to reproductive health services/family planning; Training on transferring high-quality reproductive health care services. In Dien Chau district alone, the project is implemented in 5 coastal and coastal communes with main activities such as health check-ups, ultrasound, community counseling on providing information on adolescent and youth reproductive health for couples preparing to get married.
