This is the first bank to deploy electronic tax payment service in Vietnam, after a period of time when banks collected taxes on behalf of customers through transaction points.
According to the signed agreement, taxpayers will directly access the General Department of Taxation's electronic information portal to create a payment form to the State budget and automatically send it to the commercial bank for processing.
The project is implemented in two phases. The pilot phase, starting from January 2014, will be implemented for at least 1,000 enterprises in three localities that are currently implementing online tax declaration: Hanoi, Bac Ninh and Vinh Phuc; the expansion phase will be implemented based on the results of the pilot implementation, the two sides will continue to coordinate to expand the number of taxpayers and locations according to the roadmap of the General Department of Taxation.
By participating in this service, taxpayers can carry out tax payment procedures at any time of the day, including holidays, at any location with an Internet connection.
In addition to benefits such as not having to pay directly, not depending on the working hours of the transaction counter, saving travel costs, time and effort waiting, taxpayers can also easily monitor and manage tax payment transactions, track the payment status to the State budget through their accounts and use other preferential value-added services./.
