(Baonghean.vn) -This afternoon, October 11, under the chairmanship of comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, the Organizing Committee for the 100th anniversary of the birth of comrade Nguyen Tiem met to deploy the preparation plan for the celebration, with the participation of members from departments, branches and Nam Dan district.

Comrade Nguyen Tiem was born on November 10, 1912 in Nam Trung commune, Nam Dan district. He was the first Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee of Nghe An province. To commemorate the contributions of Comrade Nguyen Tiem, our province will organize the 100th anniversary of his birth on November 9, 2012 in Nam Dan district. At the meeting, representatives of Nam Dan district, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism reported on the preparations and program for the celebration, and the progress of the assigned tasks.

After listening to the report and the comments of the representatives of the sectors, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Duong concluded, stating: Comrade Nguyen Tiem was the first Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee of the province, sacrificed at a very young age, without a wife or children. The 100th anniversary of the birth of Comrade Nguyen Tiem needs to be organized solemnly and thoughtfully, demonstrating the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source" of the homeland and the nation. He requested the propaganda agencies: Nghe An Newspaper, Radio and Television Station, the cultural sector, Nam Dan district to strengthen propaganda work both in the press and visual agitation throughout the province, so that people understand about the first Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee of the province, thereby educating the revolutionary tradition for the younger generation, remembering the merits of the revolutionary cadre who fought steadfastly until his last breath for the revolutionary cause of the Party; assigned Nam Dan district to prepare all necessary conditions for the successful celebration, ensuring practical effectiveness, economy and solemnity.
