Implementing the 2014 University and College Entrance Exam

(Baonghean.vn) -SOn the morning of June 16, at Vinh University, the Ministry of Education and Training, the Vinh City Inter-school Examination Council held a Conference to deploy the 2014 University and College Entrance Exam. Attending were representatives of the Provincial People's Committee Office, departments, branches and representatives of the leaders of universities and colleges with candidates taking the exam at Vinh exam site.

According to the Vinh Cluster Examination Council, this year's exam in Nghe An has a total of 46,116 candidates registered for both rounds (a decrease of 15,947 candidates compared to 2013) from 4 provinces: Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri. Of which, round 1 has 28,245 candidates, round 2 has 17,870 candidates. Vinh University is the school with the largest number of candidates registered for the exam with 15,065 candidates and 1,885 candidates for admission, admission combined with examination. In addition, there are 23,722 candidates registered for 46 universities in Hanoi and 6,197 candidates registered for 33 universities in Ho Chi Minh City.

At the conference, the delegates heard the announcement of the decision to establish the Vinh City Inter-School Examination Council, chaired by Mr. Dinh Xuan Khoa, Principal of Vinh University. At the same time, they heard the direction and report on the implementation of the Vinh examination cluster. The conference also heard many contributions from representatives of universities and colleges, focusing on the preparation of facilities, ensuring security and order, and the division of examination locations, and examination inspection.

According to the exam plan this year, schools will still organize in the form of "3 common". The examination council will establish 8 examination clusters and 5 affiliated points (phase 1), 5 examination clusters and 2 affiliated points (phase 2) at 67 examination sites in Vinh City and Nghi Loc District. There will be over 3,500 officers directing, invigilating, protecting and serving the exam. In addition, it will coordinate with the PA 83 Department of Nghe An Police to protect the printing of exam papers and the invigilating work.

The first round of the University and College Entrance Exam this year will be held on July 4 and 5. The second round is on July 9 and 10.
