Implementing the cooperation agreement between Nghe An and FPT Group

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 2, Nghe An Provincial People's Committee had a working session with FPT Corporation on the contents of the strategic cooperation agreement between FPT Corporation and Nghe An Provincial People's Committee in October 2014.

Comrade Le Ngoc Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting. Also attending were representatives of provincial departments, branches and sectors and leaders of Vinh City, Thai Hoa Town, Cua Lo Town, Hoang Mai Town.

Overview of the working session

On October 31, 2014, Nghe An Provincial People's Committee had a meeting with FPT Corporation to discuss the plan to implement the strategic cooperation in Information Technology. Accordingly, the two sides agreed on a number of contents to be implemented in the coming time. Along with many other cooperation contents, one of the key contents in the implementation of cooperation between Nghe An Provincial People's Committee and FPT Corporation is the implementation of e-Government. According to the agreement between the two sides, in 2014, FPT will invest with Nghe An province to sign the implementation of 4 public administrative center points in Vinh City, Cua Lo Town, Hoang Mai Town and Thai Hoa Town in the form of leasing.

After listening, the representative of FPT Corporation presented the model of e-government implementation in Nghe An, the representatives of the relevant departments, branches and local sectors agreed with the policy of e-government implementation. Concluding this content, comrade Le Ngoc Hoa requested the Provincial People's Committee Office and relevant departments and branches to advise the provincial leaders in developing a project to implement e-government. He requested that FPT Corporation conduct a survey in the units, in which Vinh City will be the first unit to implement. At the same time, based on the survey of the localities, FPT Corporation will develop a project to submit to the Provincial People's Committee for approval so that the project can be piloted in 2015. He requested that relevant departments, branches and localities create the most favorable conditions to help FPT in the process of implementing the project.

Regarding the e-Health Project, Nghe An province will cooperate with FPT to implement the e-Health project to ensure connection from the provincial, district and commune levels to the Department of Health, ready to connect with the Central Government using the most advanced technology. In 2014, the province will deploy 5 pre-designated units: Nghe An General Hospital, Vinh City General Hospital, Oncology Hospital, Orthopedic and Trauma Hospital and Northwest Regional General Hospital. In 2015, it will be deployed on a large scale throughout the province, from the provincial level down to the district and commune level.

Regarding this project, comrade Le Ngoc Hoa suggested that FPT Corporation survey the infrastructure of hospitals, develop a specific project with the Department of Health to submit to the Provincial People's Committee for approval. The Department of Health is the investor, so it is necessary to work with the Ministry of Health, domestic and foreign organizations and individuals to call for investment in implementing the e-Health project.

Also at the meeting, the People's Committee of Nghe An province and FPT Group discussed plans to promote the contents of the agreement between the province and FPT Group: human resource training cooperation program, supporting FPT in negotiating the purchase and sale of Van Xuan University to establish FPT University in Nghe An; supporting the transfer of information technology to universities in Nghe An; transferring training and sending Nghe An children to work in Japan, FPT will coordinate to bring Japanese agricultural technology to Nghe An, ...
