Exhibition of 100 photos of Vietnamese heritage in Phan Thiet
On the evening of October 23, in Phan Thiet city (Binh Thuan), Vietnam Heritage magazine (under the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Association) and the Ho Chi Minh City Cultural Heritage Association in coordination with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Thuan province organized an exhibition of photos selected from the 2012 Vietnam Heritage Photo Contest.
After three months of launching, the Organizing Committee received 2,890 entries from 198 authors. The authors came from all over the country and there were 8 foreign authors participating.
The Organizing Committee has selected 100 outstanding photos from 2,890 entries to organize an exhibition in Phan Thiet City. This is the first location chosen by the Organizing Committee to start the cross-Vietnam exhibition in 7 provinces and cities nationwide from now until November 22, 2012.
The photo contest "Vietnam Heritage - Vietnam Heritage Photo Awards" aims to call for the attention of the domestic and foreign community to discover and share the values of Vietnam's natural and cultural heritage that need to be preserved and conserved.
The organizers said that the contest is aimed at the majority of people who are interested in and want to convey the message of protecting Heritage through photos, regardless of whether they are professional or amateur photographers. Selected works will be exhibited in seven provinces and cities: Phan Thiet, Nha Trang, Hoi An, Ha Long, Can Tho, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
In Phan Thiet, the exhibition will last until October 31, 2012. The announcement and award ceremony of the "Vietnam Heritage 2012" Photo Contest is expected to take place on November 22, 2012, in Ho Chi Minh City./.
