Ha Lanh (real name Nguyen Phuoc Lanh) was born in 1956. In 1976, he joined the army, participated in combat, and performed international duty at the Propaganda Department, Regiment 335 in the Laos battlefield. Leaving the army, in 1981, Ha Lanh studied filmmaking and photography at the Central Documentary and News Film Studio.

After graduating, carrying his love for his virtuous wife, Ha Lanh returned to his hometown Thanh Chuong to work as a cameraman, photographer and participate in artistic activities. It must be said that his affinity with the art of photography really took root when Ha Lanh was discovered by photographer Long Bien and introduced to join the Nghe An Province Press & Art Photography Club in 1994.

Since then, besides “making a living”, whenever he had some free time, Ha Lanh took his camera and wandered around the villages and provinces. From the photos of his hometown Thanh Chuong that were submitted to photography competitions of the province, of the North Central region… Ha Lanh began to be passionate about press and artistic photography. He took a lot of photos, took photos everywhere, every time, took photos whenever his heart was truly moved.

Ha Lanh confided: “Photography is about moments and creativity. Therefore, I always consciously learn from friends and colleagues to have an open perspective and beautiful shooting angles to capture the colorful life of my homeland.”

Some of the photos taken of Thanh Chuong have become valuable documents that are still rich in art, and were selected by Thanh Chuong district to print and enlarge to give to international guests from Japan, China, Thailand... "Cau Cau Dam", "Song Ro Lake", "Giang River Moment", "Lam River and Nguoc Mountain"... each place name of Thanh Chuong hometown in Ha Lanh's perspective has become more familiar, closer and more passionate.

At the Exhibition, a representative of Que Huong Ngay Nay magazine bought the photo "Cau Cau Dam" - a scenic spot of Thanh Chuong district for 5 million VND.
