Truong Sa photo exhibition at Thang Long Imperial Citadel
The photo exhibition “Beloved Truong Sa in the hearts of Vietnamese people” officially opened on December 22 at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel Heritage Conservation Center, Hanoi.
This is an activity organized by Thoi Bao Lang Giao Viet (Vietnam Craft Village Association) to celebrate National Defense Day, the 68th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the first year of the newspaper's publication.
The exhibition introduces to the public 100 typical color photos taken by Hoang Chi Hung, a photojournalist of the Vietnamese Craft Village Times, during his working trips to Truong Sa. These are typical photos selected from thousands of photos taken by the author, contributing to vividly reflecting Vietnam's sovereignty over its seas and islands, the working, studying and fighting lives of the people and soldiers on Truong Sa archipelago - those who guard the islands. In addition, there are photos introducing the natural beauty, waves, sea and sky of Truong Sa archipelago - a part of the beautiful Vietnamese Fatherland.
Author Hoang Chi Hung said: This is his fourth exhibition about Truong Sa and the first exhibition held in Hanoi. Through the exhibition, he hopes to bring the public, the Vietnamese people, closer to Truong Sa, expressing the hearts of the people in the rear who always turn towards Truong Sa through practical actions.
Hoang Chi Hung was originally a mechanical workshop owner and later became a photographer and photojournalist for the Vietnam Craft Village Times. He has made trips across Vietnam to "hunt" for the most unique and vivid photos, including a 1,000-day trip by motorbike to take photos of all the famous landscapes, landscapes, and relics in the provinces and cities of 54 ethnic groups. Every Vietnamese person wishes to visit Truong Sa once, and Hoang Chi Hung has gone 3 times in a row and still wants to continue to go to record the simple, everyday but sacred moments of the soldiers and people who are day and night firmly holding their guns to protect the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.
The photo exhibition “Beloved Truong Sa in the hearts of Vietnamese people” runs until December 30./.
