Exhibition "A corner of Vietnamese press history" surprises viewers

Vietnam News Agency and Nha Nam Company opened the exhibition "Unfolding old newspapers - A corner of Vietnamese press history" at 116 - 118 Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City.

The exhibition introduces 300 typical newspapers of the Vietnamese press and important manuscripts of the first generation of journalists. Thereby, it introduces to viewers the development of more than 150 years of the Vietnamese press from the early days when Gia Dinh Newspaper was established on April 15, 1865 in Saigon, with Truong Vinh Ky asking for permission to establish and become editor-in-chief, to the newspapers: Tieng Dan, Nam Phong Magazine, Luc Tinh Tan Van, Ha Noi Newspaper, Dong Thanh Magazine, An Nam Magazine, Nam Viet Cong Bao... and then the first newspapers of the Vietnamese revolutionary press: Su That, Nhan Dan, Quan Doi Nhan Dan, Doc Lap, Van Nghe...

The exhibition also has two unique areas displaying old and new spring newspapers, surprising viewers with memorabilia of many famous journalists and artists, and press documents published for the first time. The exhibition takes place from January 9 to 19, 2016.
