Artisan Le Van Kinh
The exhibition displays more than 60 embroidery paintings, made by artisan Le Van Kinh himself; focusing on the theme of Vu Lan festival.
The highlight is the embroidered painting "Mother", which depicts the lines of shape and wrinkles on the mother's face as she mends her child's clothes, with the golden threads standing out against the deep black background. The painting depicts the true nature of Vietnamese mothers, who work hard all their lives to raise their children.
Artist Le Van Kinh was born into a family whose grandfather and father were embroiderers, who had embroidered royal robes for the king under the reigns of Khai Dinh and Bao Dai, so from a young age, he inherited all the skillful needlework and thread from the talented hands of the craftsmen in his family. Since then, artist Le Van Kinh has personally embroidered a series of paintings of Hue's scenic spots such as the Perfume River, Ngu Mountain, and Thien Mu Pagoda with the desire to introduce the beauty of Hue to everyone./.
