During simultaneous searches at stores and 2 warehouses, the police seized more than 500 car windshields of various types that had been printed with fake logos of major brands such as: Toyota, Mercedes, Peugeot, Kia, Huyndai, Mazda...

On the evening of December 15, the Economic Police Department (ESPD) of Thua Thien Hue Provincial Police said that, in the peak period of attacking and suppressing crimes to ensure security and order for the 2024 Lunar New Year, on the first day of operation, through the work of grasping the situation, the ESPD discovered that the auto glass business establishment at 12 Nguyen Tat Thanh (Thuy Duong ward, Huong Thuy town) had many suspicious signs of very sophisticated and complicated illegal activities.

A series of fake car glasses with brand labels of many major car manufacturers were discovered at the warehouse of the subjects.

Using synchronous professional measures, the Provincial Police Department's Criminal Police Department quickly clarified that this facility, owned by Tran Quoc Loi (born in 1978) and Trinh Thi Kim Nhu (born in 1988, both residing at 16 Duong Thieu Tuoc, Thuy Duong Ward), had produced and traded a very large quantity of various types of auto glass, counterfeiting the brand labels of many major auto manufacturers that have been protected in Vietnam.

The fake glasses are labeled with logos of brands such as: Toyota, Mercedes, Peugeot, Kia, Huyndai, Mazda...

Simultaneously searching the business store at 12 Nguyen Tat Thanh and 2 warehouses of this facility at 148 An Duong Vuong and 187 Hung Vuong Street (Hue City), the police force seized 1 laser printer, 2 computers and more than 500 car windshields of various types printed with fake logos of major brands such as: Toyota, Mercedes, Peugeot, Kia, Huyndai, Mazda... worth over 1 billion VND.

Police are making a record to seize a large quantity of fake scriptures owned by Tran Quoc Loi.

Through investigation, Loi and Nhu confessed that they bought Chinese branded car glass and transported it to Vietnam. Then, they directly used specialized tools, machines, and solutions to erase the Chinese brand logos on the glass.

Next, the subjects used self-designed software to copy famous car brand logos and used laser printers to print these logos onto previously erased glass. The case is currently being investigated by the Investigation Agency.
