Busting a group using motorbikes to steal dogs

(Baonghean) -The police investigation agency of Nghi Loc district - Nghe An has just arrested 14 dog thieves, and at the same time organized to bring the above subjects to be criticized before the people in 3 communes of Nghi Thinh, Nghi Hop and Nghi Xa.

Previously, at 8:00 a.m. on October 19, while on armed patrol in Nghi Trung commune, the district police force discovered 4 subjects including: Hoang Khac Vi (born 1993), Nguyen Thanh Vinh (born 1991), Vo Van Tien (born 1991), Luong Dinh Tinh, all residing in Nghi Xa commune (Nghi Loc) riding 2 motorbikes, with "spoils of war" to sell to a shop owner in Nghi Trung commune.

Recognizing that this could be a case of dog theft, the Task Force conducted an administrative inspection according to regulations. Through the inspection, the Task Force determined that 4 dogs had been beaten to death using dog poison. After conducting the investigation, Nghi Loc Police identified the perpetrators as the above subjects, and at the same time issued an emergency arrest warrant, seizing many related exhibits including: 12 motorbikes which were the vehicles used to commit the crime, as well as crossbows, swords, dog-catching bridges, and a number of fake motorbike license plates.

Through the investigation and verification of the suspects' statements, Nghi Loc police arrested 10 other suspects to serve the investigation. Of which, 3 suspects are from Nghi Xa commune: Vo Van Hoang (born in 1988), Nguyen Thanh Lam (born in 1991), Vo Tien Tong (born in 1991); 5 suspects residing in Nghi Hop commune: Phan The Hung (born in 1993), Nguyen Quoc Khanh (born in 1992), Pham Huy Thang (born in 1992), Nguyen Van Cuong (born in 1993), Nguyen Dinh Duc (born in 1992) and 3 suspects in Nghi Thinh commune: Tran Ba ​​Vinh (born in 1991), Le Thanh Tung (born in 1992) and Le Duc Tho (born in 1992).

Nghi Loc District Police organized a review of subjects in Nghi Thinh Commune.

At the investigation agency, the subjects confessed that since the beginning of the year, they have committed over 80 dog thefts in the communes of Nghi An, Nghi Long, Nghi Lien, Quan Hanh town, Nghi Hop (Nghi Loc), and Dien Chau district, Cua Lo town, Thai Hoa town, Nam Dan... with a total of 115 dogs. The "spoils of war" were sold at dog shops in the district.

The case is being investigated and clarified by Nghi Loc Police.
