Busting a drug den and storing "hot" weapons in Nghi Phong commune (Nghi Loc)

(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of June 25, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Team of Nghi Loc District Police broke up Project 513M, arrested subjects using crystal meth and storing weapons in Hamlet 4, Nghi Phong Commune (Nghi Loc District).

After a period of monitoring, at around 6:00 a.m. on June 25, a reconnaissance team of the Drug Crime Investigation Team of Nghi Loc District Police arrested Dang Thanh Tuan (born in 1992, residing in Nghi Khanh Commune, Nghi Loc) in Vinh City in a special project to destroy a methamphetamine den coded "513M".

Then, at around 10am the same day, the Drug Crime Investigation Team of Nghi Loc District Police suddenly inspected the Nguoc Dong II coffee shop located in Hamlet 4, Nghi Phong Commune (Nghi Loc District) and arrested red-handed the subjects Nguyen Thi Yen (born in 1983, residing in Hamlet 4, Nghi Phong Commune), Nguyen Gia Be (born in 1971, residing in Hung My Commune, Hung Nguyen District) and Do Quoc Viet (born in 1987, residing in Block 8, Hong Son Ward) for storing and using crystal meth. The evidence seized at Yen's house included 4 packages of crystal meth weighing 0.55 grams, 1 cell phone, 4 small gas cylinders, 1 glass blowtorch and many other tools for using crystal meth such as lighters, straws...

After investigating the suspects, the police continued to search the house of Tran Van Thuan (born in 1973, residing in Hamlet 4, Nghi Phong Commune; Thuan is Yen's half-brother) and discovered that Thuan and Nguyen Dinh Thong (born in 1971, residing in Nghi Khanh Commune) were illegally storing weapons. The seized evidence included 1 pistol, 1 motorcycle gun, 3 knives, 2 knives, 2 iron bars, 2 ammunition boxes and 3 bullets.

After arresting 6 subjects, Nghi Loc District police force took them to the police station to take statements and continue investigating the case. An investigator said that the location of crystal meth use at Nguyen Thi Yen's house had been monitored by the police for a long time. Yen's house, under the "cover" of a coffee shop, became a location for drug addicts to use drugs. Since the beginning of May 2013, the Nghi Loc District Police Drug Investigation Police Team has established a special project codenamed "513M" with the determination to quickly solve the case.
