The January high tide peaked on the morning of February 28, causing many roads in Ho Chi Minh City to be heavily flooded, vehicles to stall, parents to be late for work, and children to be late for school.

Many parents and students had a hard time getting to work and school because the tide peaked on the morning of February 28.

At Ben Phu Dinh Street, Ward 16, District 8, the highest tide peak at 6:30 this morning caused flooding in many places, of which the section between Phu Dinh Bridge and Nha Thuong Bridge was the most heavily flooded. The water level was more than half a meter, causing many vehicles to stall and have to be pushed to find higher ground to restart the engine and blow the spark plugs. This is also the peak time for students to go to school and adults to go to work, but due to the high tide, many people were late.

Restaurants on this street also had to close because of water flooding into houses. By 8am the same day, the water gradually receded, the street was covered with trash and a foul smell rose up, people on both sides of the street had to continuously shake the trash to prevent it from flowing into their houses. At the intersection of An Duong Vuong Street and Highway 41 in this area, there was also a slight flood.

Many roads are flooded over the wheels.

Many people had to walk because the road turned into a river.

Car breakdowns make many people late for work.

By 8 o'clock the same day, the water receded, leaving behind a foul smell and a lot of trash.
