Two days after the false information about the Ebola virus appearing in Hanoi spread on the Internet, implementing the direction of the Ministry of Public Security's leaders, on August 13, the General Department of Security II - Ministry of Public Security coordinated with the Ministry of Public Security's professional department and Hanoi City Police to identify and summon 2 people who spread the information. They are Vu Huong Thao and Nghiem Thuy Trang.
At the police station, Thao confessed: on August 11, Thao went on Facebook and read information shared that there was a person infected with Ebola in Hanoi and it was not announced. Thao took the above information, rewrote it and shared it with everyone with the purpose of... preventing the disease (?!). When she saw the number of people sharing it too quickly and in large numbers, Thao was afraid that if the information was not accurate, it would affect her, so she closed Facebook. However, this girl could not control Facebook, because many people took screenshots of the Facebook image and continued to share it. Regarding the source of the above false information, Thao confessed that she got it from Nghiem Thuy Trang's Facebook.
