Summoning 300 "bosses" of MB24 fraud ring
300 people including Deputy Directors, VIP upper-level leaders, branch managers... of the MB24 fraud company were summoned.
Hanoi City Police have summoned 300 people including Deputy Directors, VIP leaders on upper floors, branch managers... to clarify related issues.
Online Trading Training Joint Stock Company (MB24) was established in Hanoi in 2011. The founding members include Nguyen Tuan Minh, Ngo Van Huy and Le Van Cuong, all of whom used to work at Tan Mat Troi Company (this company is being investigated for fraud with similar methods).
While working at Tam Mat Troi, the three subjects learned how to appropriate members' money. Therefore, this group discussed building a commission software and created an account on the system to be able to deposit virtual money and withdraw real money.

Built and operated on the organizational model of an e-commerce platform. When joining the system, each member must pay 5.2 million VND to buy a virtual booth on MB24.
When inviting many new people to join under them, members will enjoy profits and be given different titles to encourage members to attract more people to join.
From the "experience" learned from Tam Mat Troi, Minh, Huy, and Cuong knew how to stimulate and appeal to the greedy psychology of members, thus attracting a much larger number of members than Tam Mat Troi.
If Tam Mat Troi has about 40 thousand members, MB24 has 3 times more members - more than 136 thousand members, of which more than 17.5 thousand members "attracted" from Tam Mat Troi. After just over a year of operation, MB 24 has developed 52 branches in 33 provinces and cities; with thousands of "virtual" stores online.
Among the victims of MB24's fraud, many people, once they have joined the system and know they have been scammed, continue to solicit, exaggerate, and promote the "reputation" and "benefits" of MB24 to lead others to "fall into the trap" of MB24's fraud.
By the time MB24 was discovered and investigated, the entire system had 3 levels of directors, 18 levels of deputy directors, 83 levels of VIP leaders, and 680 VIPs. The amount of money that members transferred into MB24's account was initially determined to be about 200 billion VND, but at the time the investigation agency decided to prosecute the case, there was only 700 million VND left in MB24's account.
It is known that most of the money withdrawn was divided among Nguyen Tuan Minh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of MB24 (currently wanted nationwide) and 3 other "top dogs" with the amount ranging from 200 to 300 million VND per month, with some months the amount of money that the "top dogs" received reaching more than 1 billion VND.
The investigation agency determined that there were about 378 billion VND divided among the 4 ringleaders. The total amount of money that MB24 appropriated was about 500 billion VND.
